Description
The City of Dubuque is requesting assistance with issues along the US Senator John C. Culver Floodwall at the Mississippi River in the City of Dubuque, IA. Flood protection challenges include the efficacy of the "I" wall located along the southern most section of the flood protection system, which does not meet the post-Katrina factor of safety, as well as the condition of flood wall gates (foundation, design and design height) and the pumping system (capacity).
Background
This project is a potential new start. A letter of request has been received from the sponsor. The initial phase of work will be to complete the Federal Interest Determination.
