Keithsburg Public Meeting
The Corps, in partnership with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the IL DNR, will host a public meeting/open house July 16 to discuss ecosystem restoration plans at the Keithsburg Division of Port Louisa National Wildlife Refuge. The event is scheduled from 4-6 p.m. at the New Boston Community Center located at 502 Main St., New Boston, IL.
On May, 24, 2018, Col. Steve Sattinger became the 49th commander of the Rock Island District. He assumed command from Col. Craig Baumgartner. As commander, Sattinger oversees the District's water resource development programs which span five states and 78,000 square miles.

Help clean up the environment and preserve the natural beauty at Saylorville Lake. Volunteers can meet a Park Ranger at the Visitor Center where they will provide gloves, trash bags and get you started on your project. Please wear long pants, long sleeves, and closed toed shoes.  Volunteers who work 3 hours may receive a camping pass for one free night at a Corps of Engineers managed campground at Saylorville Lake. Saylorville Lake Visitor Center is located just off NW Horseshoe Rd, Ankeny, Iowa.  For questions please contact the Saylorville Lake Project Office.
