Beaver Island Habitat Rehabilitation - OPEN HOUSE

The Rock Island District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) intends to partner with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources (IA DNR) on a feasibility study identifying and investigating ecosystem restoration opportuinities within Pool 14. The proposed study is located between river mile 513.0-515.5 in the southern portion of Clinton County and includes Beaver Island, Beaver Slough, Grass Slough, and Lower Lake. An open house addressing the initiation of the Ecosystem Restoration Feasibility Study will be held March 26, 2014 between 6 and 8 pm at the Erickson Center, 1401 11th Ave N, Clinton, IA.. Corps Seeks Agricultural Lease Applications at Coralville Lake

Camp for Free: Summer Volunteers Needed at Lake Red Rock

Spend the summer camping at Lake Red Rock for free! The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will provide a free, full-hookup campsite to volunteers willing to provide custodial service at: North Overlook beach, Whitebreast beach, Whitebreast campground and Wallashuck campground. Volunteers are needed from late April through September 2014.
