Corps of Engineers awards contract for campground rehab at Saylorville Lake

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, awarded a $134,228.64 contract to conduct rehabilitation of the Saylorville Lake Prairie Flower Campsite Campground in Johnston, Iowa.

The contract was awarded to Enviroworks, LLC, of Omaha, Neb. Enviroworks, LLC will provide all labor, management, equipment, tools, materials and vehicles necessary, to rehabilitate twelve existing gravel campsites by constructing new formed and poured concrete sites at the Saylorville Lake, Prairie Flower Campground, Blazingstar Loop.

The campsite rehabilitation shall include all site demolition, preparation and work. The rehab will also include site grading, providing for proper drainage, adding fill material and/or adding or removing soil or rock to level, compact, delineate, and construct formed & poured concrete campsites. The rehabilitation is scheduled for completion by summer, 2012.
