In order to inform those who may be planning 2021 camping trips, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District announces that it will close the North Overlook Campground at Lake Red Rock from May 16-August 31, 2021.

During the planned closure, a construction project will replace outdated restroom facilities. Full closure of the campground is necessary due to it only having one shower house and no other facilities for campers to use during construction. The new facility will feature six unisex private entry rooms and be similar to the shower house recently installed at the North Overlook beach.
