      <title>Cedar River, Cedar Rapids, Iowa -- Flood Risk Management</title>

      <description>The project was authorized for construction in the Water Resources Reform and Development Act (WRRDA) of 2014. It provides protection along the east bank of the Cedar River. It includes earthen levees, floodwalls, and closure structures for a total length of 3.15 miles.

The goals are to manage for a diverse and dynamic pattern of habitats to support native biota; manage for viable populations of native species within diverse plant and animal communities; and mange for processes that shape a physically diverse and dynamic river floodplain system.
