Army Corps of Engineers awards contract for recreation area rehab at Saylorville Lake

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, awarded a contract in the amount of $743,763 for Sandpiper Recreation Area Rehabilitation at Saylorville Lake in Polk County, Iowa.


Brigantine Construction Consultants, Inc., of Giberts, Ill., was awarded the contract which calls for the rehabilitation of the existing boat ramp.  The contractor will construct a sediment detention embankment with water control structure; install an associated storm water pipe, and mechanically dredge the inlet channel to the boat ramp.
