    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, announces that a portion of the Neal Smith Trail at Saylorville Lake will temporarily close beginning November 4th to facilitate a waterline replacement. The closure of the trail is scheduled to last through November 18th.

  • Portion of Neal Smith Trail to close for resurfacing at Saylorville Lake

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, announces a portion of the Neal Smith Trail at Saylorville Lake will temporarily close for resurfacing starting April 17. The closure will extend from the Bob Shetler Ponding Area, north to NW 78th Ave, also referred to as the Saylorville Lake Dam Road. The closure is anticipated to last until May 15.   • Neal Smith Trail fully reopened at Saylorville Lake

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, has reopened portions of the Neal Smith Trail on the east side of Saylorville Lake which had been closed due to ongoing repairs. Newly reopened areas include NW Big Creek Drive to the access point across from E. Southside Drive in Polk City, and from Oak Grove Recreation Area to Red Feather Prairie.
