With four different campgrounds to choose from, Saylorville Lake is sure to provide a camping experience tailored to you. Our campgrounds are host to a variety of scenery ranging from upland hardwoods in Acorn Valley and Cherry Glen campgrounds, to planted prairie in Prairie Flower campground, to riverside views and bottomland timber in Bob Shetler campground.

All campgrounds are open to both RV and tent camping; however Acorn Valley hosts some tent-only campsites and also has a youth group site that is available for use by organized youth groups such as the boy scouts. Prairie Flower campground is also host to group loops, which allows a large group to camp together in a wagon-wheel formation.   

Reservations for campsites and shelters can be made 180 days in advance.

Persons with America the Beautiful Senior Pass, Access Pass, Corps of Engineers Golden Age and Golden Access Passes are entitled to 50% discount on camping fees. Discount is not valid on group camping fees.

1.      Advance reservations help ensure you have a site for your upcoming camping experience. Reservations can be made:

• By going online to www.recreation.gov

2.     Same day reservation window. Allows you to make a reservation to camp the same day. Check-in time is 2pm.

3.     Registered campers are not required to check in. If you have a reservation, proceed to your site.
