Due to a schedule adjustment, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, is keeping several campgrounds and day use recreation areas at Saylorville Lake open for the remainder of the recreation season this fall.

The parks, which include the Acorn Valley (RV sites), Bob Shetler, Cherry Glen, and Prairie Flower campgrounds and the Bob Shetler and Cherry Glen picnic areas, were previously scheduled to close Sept. 6 for upgrades and repairs to water and sewer line systems. This work has been delayed and reservations for these sites are once again being accepted in the http://www.Recreation.gov system. Closures scheduled at Lake Red Rock, near Pella, Iowa, are still on track and will not be impacted by the adjustment at Saylorville Lake.
