KNOXVILLE, Iowa -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, announces a full road closure to Highway T15 across the Red Rock Dam April 1-3. The closure is necessary for contractors to continue refurbishing gates on the dam. Additional partial and full road closures may be needed throughout 2026. Additionally, beginning Monday, April 6, portions of the Volksweg Trail will be closed for repairs. Degraded asphalt will be removed from sections of the trail and concrete will be installed in its place.
