All Rock Island District locks and dams have reopened to navigation. The District closed 11 of its 12 Mississippi River locks to commercial vessels and recreational craft due to recent high water. The closures were necessary as the locks become inoperable due to the Mississippi River impacting machinery or overtopping the lock’s miter gates.

Locks may close throughout the summer due to scheduled or unscheduled maintenance. For current lock status, visit the Corps' Lock Performance Monitoring System, Lock Status Report @ Lock Status Report
