There are three ways to become an Illinois Waterway Jr. Ranger. Visit the website below, download the smartphone app for Apple or Android devices or print off and complete a Jr. Ranger booklet and earn your own Jr. Ranger badge.

Print off a USACE Jr. Ranger Booklet

1. Download and print the Jr. Ranger booklet
2. Complete seven or more activities in the booklet.
3. Bring your booklet to the Illinois Waterway Visitor Center and demonstrate how to correctly put on a life jacket
