    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, is hosting an open house May 20 to provide an update on the ecosystem restoration project planned for the Sabula Lakes area of the Mississippi River. The event will take place from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Izaak Walton League located at 60190 US-52 in Sabula, Iowa.

The District is interested in public review and comments regarding the project analysis and outcomes.

PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul, Rock Island and St. Louis districts, are seeking public comments on a draft systemic forest stewardship Programmatic Environmental Assessment, or PEA, as part of the Navigation and Ecosystem Sustainability Program. Comments are due by Nov. 23.

  • Corps awards contract for Mississippi River Upper Pool 4 improvement project

    ST. PAUL, Minn. –The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, awarded a $8.7 million contract to Newt Marine Service, out of Dubuque, Iowa, July 14, for a Navigation and Ecosystem Sustainability Program, or NESP, project located on the Wisconsin side of the Upper Mississippi River in Upper Pool 4, near Bay City, Wisconsin.

  • Corps celebrates the completion of a Mississippi River environmental project

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, will celebrate the completion of the Pool 2 wing dam modification project with a ribbon cutting ceremony on July 25, at Lock and Dam 2 in Hastings, Minnesota, at 1 p.m. Lock and Dam 2 is located at 1350 Lock and Dam Road.
