Coralville Lake's Sugar Bottom Mountain Bike Trail Closure

IOWA CITY, Iowa – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announces that Coralville Lake’s Sugar Bottom Mountain Bike Trails will be closed from Dec. 2, 2017, through Jan. 10, 2018, to accommodate for the whitetail deer shotgun and muzzle loader hunting seasons. This is annual closure is needed to maintain a safe environment for everyone using Corps-managed lands during the hunting season. A map of designated public hunting areas around the lake can be found at www.Coralvillelake.org or picked up at the Administration Offices located at 2850 Prairie Du Chien Rd NE, Iowa City, IA 52240. State rules and regulations apply for hunting in these areas.

During shotgun and muzzle loader hunting seasons, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers encourages visitors to use appropriate safety measures when visiting areas open to hunting. This may include wearing blaze orange vests and/or clothing.
