Corps to Host Several Public Open House Events for Des Moines River Basin Master Reservoir Regulation Manual Update

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District is hosting four public open house events to seek comment on the Draft Des Moines River Basin Master Reservoir Regulation Manual Feasibility Report with an Integrated Environmental Assessment. The Feasibility Report describes the alternatives considered and makes a recommendation on revisions to the Des Moines River Basin Master Reservoir Regulation Manual which includes the Water Control Plans for Saylorville Lake and Lake Red Rock. Proposed updates to the Manual will be discussed during the meetings and District staff will be on hand to answer questions and discuss comments, questions and/or concerns regarding the Manual update.

 Times and locations for the four public scoping open houses are as follows:

  • Jul. 31 - Johnston Public Library, Johnston, Iowa, 3 - 7 p.m.
    Presentations at 3:15 and 5:30 p.m.

  • Aug. 1 - Central College Graham Annex Building, Pella, Iowa, 3 - 7 p.m.
    Presentations at 3:15 and 5:30 p.m.

  • Aug. 2 - Bridge View Center, Ottumwa, Iowa, 3 - 7 p.m.
    Presentations at 3:15 and 5:30 p.m.

  • Aug. 7 - Town and Country Inn and Suites, Quincy, Illinois, 3 - 6 p.m.
    Presentation at 4:30 p.m.
