Rock Island, IL - The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers Mississippi River Project announces the re-opening of Shady Creek and Kilpeck Landing Recreation Areas, on July 25, 2014. The areas were closed for a time due to the floodwaters. Reservations will be honored at Shady Creek beginning July 25 for select sites, while the entire park will accept reservations beginning August 1st.
