QUINCY, Illinois - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, Mississippi River Project announces that starting December 3, access to the Lock and Dam 21 Visitor Overlook will be restricted due to construction activities.
The Visitor Overlook at Lock and Dam 21 will be closed for the winter due to construction. The boat ramp parking area located downstream of the lock and dam will however be available for public use. Parking may become congested as winter is a popular time for bald eagle viewing at Lock and Dam 21. Construction is expected to conclude sometime in mid-March 2016.
