Discount Passes

**During non-recreation season (third Sunday in October – April 30) passes are only available for purchase (DEBIT/CREDIT ONLY) at the Coralville Lake office by appointment only. To make an appointment call: 319-338-3543 ext. 6300 or email: Coralville.lake@usace.army.mil.

America the Beautiful Passes (ATB) (Interagency Pass Network)

Annual Pass: Cost - $80.00

Coverage Includes: Access to and use of, BLM, FWS, NPS, Reclamation, USDA-FS and USACE sites that charge entrance or standard amenity fees (day use). Anyone 16 years or older may purchase the pass; children under 16 are always admitted free. An annual pass valid 12 months from month of purchase. Two people can sign the pass.

Senior Lifetime Pass: Cost - $80.00

Coverage Includes: Access to and use of, BLM, FWS, NPS, Reclamation, USDA-FS and USACE sites that charge entrance or standard amenity fees (day use). Also provides a 50% discount for pass owner on some expanded amenity fees such as camping (excluding hook-ups), boat launching, etc. A lifetime pass for citizens or permanent residents of the U.S., age 62 or older. One person can sign the pass.

Senior Annual Pass: Cost - $20.00

Coverage Includes: Access to and use of, BLM, FWS, NPS, Reclamation, USDA-FS and USACE sites that charge entrance or standard amenity fees (day use). Also provides a 50% discount for pass owner on some expanded amenity fees such as camping (excluding hook-ups), boat launching, etc. An annual pass for citizens or permanent residents of the U.S., age 62 or older. One person can sign the pass

Access Pass: Cost – FREE

Coverage Includes: Access to and use of, BLM, FWS, NPS, Reclamation, USDA-FS and USACE sites that charge entrance or standard amenity fees (day use). Also provides a 50% discount for pass owner on some expanded amenity fees such as camping (excluding hook-ups), boat launching, etc. A lifetime pass for citizens or permanent residents of the U.S. who have a permanent disability, regardless of age. One person can sign the pass.

Military/Veteran Pass: Cost – FREE

Coverage Includes: Access to and use of, BLM, FWS, NPS, Reclamation, USDA-FS and USACE sites that charge entrance or standard amenity fees (day use). Available to Current US Military, Veterans, Dependents and Gold Star families. Documentation is required.

  1. Current Military and Dependents:
    1. Current members of the U.S. Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard, Space Force and National Guard with valid DoD CAC card 
    2. Dependents of current U.S. military members with valid DD Form 1173 
    3. U.S. Military Cadets 
    4. U.S. Active Reservists (Do not need to be deployed)  
  2. Gold Star Families
    1. Gold Star Families are next of kin of a member of the United States Armed Forces who lost his or her life in a “qualifying situation,” such as a war, an international terrorist attack, or a military operation outside of the United States while serving with the United States Armed Forces, as explained in Department of Defense Instruction 1348.36
    2. Gold Star Family members must self-certify by applying for a Military Pass online at https://store.usgs.gov/MilitaryPass or downloading and printing a special voucher to either present to the ranger, exchange for a Military Pass in person, or place on the vehicle dashboard at unstaffed sites.   3. Veterans
    1. Individuals who served in the U.S. Armed Forces, including the National Guard and Reserves, and are able to present one of the following valid non-expired forms of identification when entering or using federal lands:  
      1. Department of Defense Identification Card (CAC Card, DD Form 2, DD Form 2765) 
      2. Veteran Health Identification Card (VHIC)
      3. Veteran ID Card
      4. Veterans’ designation on a state-issued U.S. driver’s license or identification card  
    2. **When acquiring a pass in person, the actual IDs listed above must be presented. When acquiring a pass online, photocopies or digital images are accepted. Form DD-214 is not accepted. 

Volunteer Pass: Cost – 250 hours of service

Coverage Includes: Access to and use of, BLM, FWS, NPS, Reclamation, USDA-FS and USACE sites that charge entrance or standard amenity fees (day use). An annual pass for those who volunteer 250 hours or more at Federal recreation sites. Valid 12 months from month of issue. One person can sign the pass.

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Annual Pass: Cost - $40.00

Coverage Includes: Access to and use of ALL U.S. Army Corps of Engineers sites that charge entrance or standard day use fees.
