We are the Rock Island District, Mississippi River Project, Recreation and Natural Resource Management Section. Our project encompasses 314 miles on the Mississippi River from Potosi, Wisconsin to Saverton, Missouri. We strive to provide quality, diverse natural resources and recreational facilities for customers utilizing the lands and waters in our area.
We offer 16 campgrounds, 14 day use facilities, 22 boat ramps and 55,000 acres of forested land. Our project is the oldest and one of the largest continually managed forested resources managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. We take pride in protecting our diverse natural resources while providing safe recreational opportunities for everyone to enjoy.
Please feel free to contact any of our staff if we can be of service. We look forward to your visits and hope you enjoy the recreational and educational opportunities we provide on the Mighty Mississippi River.
