Due to a power failure at the Cherry Glen Picnic Area at Saylorville Lake, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, is temporarily modifying operations within the park. Repairs are pending, but a completion date is not yet known.

Effective immediately, picnic shelters in the area will be available only on a first-come, first-served basis, and reservations are suspended. Restrooms are closed, but portable toilets are available nearby. The park remains open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, and regular cleaning and maintenance will continue.

The Corps of Engineers apologizes for the inconvenience and appreciates the public’s patience while full operations are restored. Contact the Saylorville Lake Administration Office at 515-276-4656 with questions.
