For public safety, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, has closed the Cherry Glen Lower Boat Ramp and Oak Grove Beach Access at Saylorville Lake due to rising water levels caused by heavy rains in the Des Moines River watershed. These closures will remain in effect until lake levels recede, and the areas can be cleaned and safely reopened.

Lakeview High Water, Sandpiper, and Cherry Glen High Water boat ramps remain open. Visitors should be aware of limited parking and potential hazards on Saylorville Lake, including submerged structures and floating debris. Boaters must exercise extreme caution due to potential unseen hazards beneath the surface. All boaters are advised to wear life jackets, maintain reduced speeds, and avoid operating vessels after dark. Strict adherence to buoy markings is essential for safe navigation.
