ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers invites the public to attend informational meetings for the Cedar River, Cedar Rapids, Iowa Feasibility Study, June 23 at the Crowne Center Plaza Five Seasons Hotel. The purpose of the meetings is to explain the Corps’ tentatively selected plan for flood risk management for Cedar Rapids.
The hotel is located at 350 1st Ave NE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and the meetings will be held in the Grand Ballroom. The morning session will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a presentation at 11:30 a.m. The afternoon session will run from 4-7 p.m. with a presentation at 4:30 p.m.
An open house will follow the meetings. Display areas will be staffed by Corps and City study representatives. Meeting attendees are invited to view the displays and talk with the study team one-on-one.
This invitation has been sent to involved Federal and state agencies, city and business representatives, and many members of the public in the Cedar Rapids area.
