U.S. Army Corps of Engineers hosts public meeting about dredging near Lock and Dam 20 near Canton, Mo.

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. (April 12, 2013) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, invites the public to attend a meeting to discuss dredging and placement of dredged material near Lock and Dam 20 in Canton, Mo. The meeting is April 16 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Canton City Hall, 106 N 5th Street, Canton.

The meeting will start with an open house from 5 to 5:30 p.m., followed by a presentation. It will be an opportunity to discuss and propose potential placement sites and the beneficial use of dredged material in the local area. Federal and state agencies, city and business members have been invited to attend.
