  • Temporary Closure of Neal Smith Trail at Saylorville Lake

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, will close a portion of the Neal Smith Trail at Saylorville Lake beginning April 17 for trail reconstruction work. The affected section of trail extends from Red Feather Prairie Access North to the Cherry Glen Recreation Area. Work is expected to take approximately four weeks to complete and includes time for the new concrete to properly cure. For public safety, trail users are reminded to stay out of marked construction zones and to observe all posted signage and fencing throughout the project duration.   • Ribbon Cutting to be held in celebration of Fort Dodge Greenbelt Trails Project completion

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, and the city of Fort Dodge invite the public to a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the completion of the Fort Dodge Greenbelt Trails Project. The ceremony will take place May 18 at 11 a.m. near a trail access site at the corner of 16th St. SW. and 14th Ave. SW.
  • Nominations Now Being Accepted for Coralville Lake Veterans Trail Dedication

    IOWA CITY, Iowa – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Coralville Lake, in partnership with Johnson County Veterans organizations, is now accepting nominations for the 2020 Memorial Day Veterans Trail dedication ceremony. Veterans selected from the list of nominations will be honored for their outstanding service during this year’s event and have their names added to a location along the trail.
