  • USACE Recreation Fee Changes

    Johnston, Iowa - U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) in Washington D.C. has implemented changes in the recreation day use fees charged for boat launches and swimming beaches managed by USACE. These fees were last changed in 2002 and are adjusted to be comparable to fees charged by other local providers with similar facilities and services. Changes were effective January 1st and will impact the 2016 recreation season.

Changes have been made related to day use fees, USACE annual pass fees, America the Beautiful sales and America the Beautiful Senior and Access pass usage.
  • Seeking Nominations for Veterans Trail Dedication

    IOWA CITY, IA – Each year on Memorial Day, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Coralville Lake and the Johnson County Veterans organizations honor local military veterans who have served their country. The public is invited to nominate individuals who meet the criteria in order that they may be recognized for outstanding service in the U.S. Armed Services.
  • Coralville Lake Shoreline Management Plan Revision Open House - Comment Period Runs Through March 18, 2016

    Iowa City, IA. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, has been revising the Coralville Lake Lakeshore Management Plan which is now referred to as the Coralville Lake Shoreline Management Plan. The draft plan is now available for public review and comment. We will be hosting an open house on Thursday, February 18, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Coralville Lake Office located at 2850 Prairie Du Chien Road NE, Iowa City, Iowa. The purpose of the open house is to informally meet with individuals and groups to discuss the proposed Coralville Lake Shoreline Management Plan revisions.
