The applicant is proposing to dredge/excavate the existing Spring Bay Marina for the purpose of improving boat access. A temporary access path around the perimeter of the marina and a temporary causeway across the mouth of the marina will be constructed to provide access around the marina for dredging/excavation equipment. This work will temporarily impact 0.25 acres of non-wetland Waters of the U.S. A portion of the temporary path will also impact 0.09 acres of wetland. Excavated material will be placed in a temporary drying location in an upland area prior to being transported to another upland area off-site. The project will also place approximately 420’ of rip-rap along an existing breakwater which will permanently impact 0.43 acres of non-wetland Waters of the U.S.
