Recreation at Lake Red Rock

Lake Red Rock is Iowa's largest lake and is just 10 minutes from Pella, Iowa, known for its Dutch heritage and 15 minutes from Knoxville, Iowa, the Sprintcar Capital of the World. Lake Red Rock offers camping, boating, fishing, interpretive programs and access to a paved 13-mile hiking/biking trail. There's also a paddle-in primitive camping area, archery range, and marina! the lake is also a prime location for wildlife watching with white pelicans migrating through the area every spring and fall and large numbers of bald eagles gathered during the winter months.
