    ST. PAUL, Minn. – A contractor for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, Kaiyuh Services, LLC, of Anchorage, Alaska is preparing to start construction on a habitat restoration project in Conway Lake, near Lansing, Iowa, in May.

  • Saylorville Lake Closing Additional Recreation Areas Due to Rising Water Levels

    JOHNSTON, Iowa - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Saylorville Lake has closed Cherry Glen Main Boat Ramp and NW Jester Park Drive due to rising water levels. Boat ramps that remain open at this time include Cherry Glen Upper, Lakeview Main and Lakeview High Water.

Veterans selected from the list of nominations will be honored for their outstanding service during this year’s event and have their names added to a location along the trail.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced today that beginning Jan. 1, 2020, the agency’s Volunteer Clearinghouse website will no longer be operational. All future volunteer opportunities at USACE-managed recreation areas will be posted to only the federal interagency website www.volunteer.gov.

  • Coralville Lake to Host Veterans Trail Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Friends of Coralville Lake, and the Veterans Trail Commission Board invite the public to a ribbon cutting ceremony at noon on Nov. 11 celebrating the grand reopening of the newly remodeled Veterans Trail. The ceremony will be held near the entrance of the Veterans Trail, across the street from Coralville Lake’s Administration Office located at 2850 Prairie Du Chien Rd NE, Iowa City, Iowa.
