    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mississippi River Project announces that the following recreation areas are closed due to the rising floodwaters.   • Rising river forces closure of recreation areas for third time

    Muscatine, IA - The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers Mississippi River Project announces the continued full closure of Blanchard Island, Kilpeck Landing, and Ferry Landing Recreation Areas. Partial closures of Shady Creek, Andalusia Slough, and Clark’s Ferry are also taking effect.

  • Grant River Recreation Area Closed

    Potosi, WI - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mississippi River Project announces that it has closed the following recreation area due to the rising floodwaters. Grant River Recreation Area located at 3990 Park Lane, Potosi, Wisconsin, 53820.

  • Locks and Dam # 15 Tours Cancelled

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mississippi River Project announces that tours of Locks and Dam #15 will be cancelled on June 30th. The Mississippi River Visitor Center will still remain open during this time.

  • AmeriCorps NCCC Hosts Community Day at Clark’s Ferry

    Montpelier, Iowa – On Sunday, June 23, AmeriCorps NCCC (National Civilian Community Corps) members are hosting a community service day to stain facilities and remove invasive plant species. The community service day is being held at Clark’s Ferry Recreation Area from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

    Hampton, IL-The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mississippi River Project is inviting guests to a campground program on Mississippi Mud Art. Join local artist Frank Ross as he demonstrates how to take Mississippi mud and turn it into a beautiful work of art.

  • Volunteer Needed at Corps of Engineers Park

    Muscatine, IA-The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mississippi River Project is looking for a fulltime Volunteer Campground Host at Blanchard Island Recreation Area. The Volunteer Campground Host position runs from May 15, 2013 through October 15, 2013.
