    Dubuque, IA - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Mississippi River Project announces the 23rd annual Eco-Meet on Friday May 16th. This special event will be held at Eagle Point Park in Dubuque, Iowa from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm.

  • Cattail Slough Recreation Area Closed Due to High Water

    Thomson, IL - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mississippi River Project announces that Cattail Slough recreation area south of Fulton Illinois has been closed due to high water levels.

  • Pleasant Creek Recreation Area Closed

    Dubuque, IA - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mississippi River Project announces that it has closed the following recreation area due to the rising floodwaters.

  • Free Boating Safety Class

    Pleasant Valley, IA - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mississippi River Project announces they will be offering a free boating safety education class. The class will be held on April 12th and will run from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

  • Shady Creek Recreation Area is Opening Early!

    The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers Mississippi River Project announces the early opening of Shady Creek Recreation Area, due to the extended closure of Clark’s Ferry. Shady Creek will open on April 11, 2014 for first come first serve users only. Reservations will be honored beginning on our regularly scheduled opening date of May 2nd.

    Dubuque, IA - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mississippi River Project announces that it is taking picnic shelter reservations for the 2014 recreation season. Grant River and Blanding Landing Recreation Areas have picnic shelters for use.

    Dubuque, IA - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mississippi River Project announces the opening of Grant River Recreation Area on April 11, 2014. Grant River Recreation Area is located on the shores of the Mississippi River three miles south of Potosi, Wisconsin.

  • Earth Day/Park Clean Up Scheduled

    Dubuque, IA - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mississippi River Project announces that a special Earth Day/Park Clean Up will take place Sunday April 27, 2014 between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 4 p.m at Grant River Recreation Area near Potosi, WI.
