    Rock Island, IL - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mississippi River Project announces that the Visitor Center at Locks and Dam #15 is inviting guests to participate in Historic Clock Tower and Eagle Watching Tours. Learn about the Historic Clock Tower building as you climb the stairs to the top. Waiting there is a spectacular view of the Mississippi River where you will have the opportunity to see Bald Eagles who visit our area during the cold winter months.
  • Miss River Recreation Area Important Updates

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mississippi River Project announces five important updates to the camping and reservation program. Overnight camping fees for Class A sites are now $10 for non-electric and $20 for sites with electric. Camping fees for our Class B sites are now $8.00 per night while Class C sites will remain at $6.00 per night. The discount passes, such as the America the Beautiful and/or Golden Age/Access passes will continue to be accepted.

Our annual Bald Eagle Watch, a part of the Eagles and Ivories Ragtime Weekend Festival held in Muscatine, Iowa, will take place Saturday, January 24, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Pearl City Station in Riverside Park, 100 Harbor Drive, Muscatine, Iowa.
