  • Three Public Meetings Scheduled to Discuss Brandon Road Draft Report

    ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – In order to facilitate discussion of the recently-released Great Lakes and Mississippi River Interbasin Study – Brandon Road Draft report, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has scheduled three public meetings with locations in Chicago, Muskegon, Michigan; and Joiliet, Illinois.
  • Due to high demand, Mississippi River Visitor Center receives extra senior passes

    ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mississippi River Visitor Center has received a new shipment of $10 America the Beautiful - Senior Passes, which had previously been sold out and were not expected to be replaced. This is the only facility within the Rock Island District that will have passes available. The passes, which have been in high demand since a price increase was announced in July, are available to all U.S. citizens age 62 or older and provide entrance to federally operated recreation sites across the country.   • Corps releases draft report related to preventing spread of Asian carp into the Great Lakes

    ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has released The Great Lakes and Mississippi River Interbasin Study – Brandon Road Draft Integrated Feasibility Study and Environmental Impact Statement – Will County, Illinois (GLMRIS-Brandon Road Report) for public review and comment.
