Closer inspection of Marseilles Dam reveals damaged gates (Unified Command News Release)
MARSEILLES, Ill. (April 22) — A closer inspection Monday of the Marseilles Dam by Unified Command representatives confirmed that damage resulted from seven barges that broke loose from a tow and came to rest against the dam on Thursday.

Unified Command determines no structural threat to Marseilles Dam (Unified Command News Release)
MARSEILLES, Ill. (April 21) — A Unified Command of U.S. Coast Guard and the Ingram Barge Company representatives announced Saturday that the Marseilles Dam is structurally sound after seven barges broke loose near the dam.

Corps activates Emergency Operations Center to provide flood-fight support
ROCK ISLAND, Ill. (April 19) – In response to National Weather Service forecasts predicting the potential for major flooding in areas along the Upper Mississippi and Illinois rivers and their tributaries, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, activated its Emergency Operations Center on Wednesday, April 17.
