The Inundation Mapping below Iowa Reservoirs Silver Jackets project leverages USACE developed Hydrologic Engineering Center - River Analysis System (HEC-RAS) models of the Des Moines River and Iowa River reaches below the USACE reservoirs. Visualization of USACE reservoir release inundation information – this effort includes generating inundation maps that correspond with discharge outflows from the three USACE reservoirs located in Iowa. These outflows are added to the database library housed at the Iowa Flood Center and will be visualized similar to the other inundation maps on the Iowa Flood Information System (IFIS) in the near future.
