    Thomson, IL - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mississippi River Project announces that Cattail Slough recreation area south of Fulton Illinois has been closed due to high water levels.

  • Corps of Engineers, Nature Conservancy host open house for Emiqoun East Project

    ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and The Nature Conservancy invite the public to attend an open house for the Environmental Management Program’s Emiquon East Habitat Rehabilitation and Enhancement Project on April 16 between 5 and 7 p.m. at the Dickson Mounds State Museum, 10956 N Dickson Mounds Rd, Lewistown, Ill.

    Pleasant Valley, IA - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mississippi River Project announces they will be offering a free boating safety education class. The class will be held on April 12th and will run from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

  • Shady Creek Recreation Area is Opening Early!

    The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers Mississippi River Project announces the early opening of Shady Creek Recreation Area, due to the extended closure of Clark’s Ferry. Shady Creek will open on April 11, 2014 for first come first serve users only. Reservations will be honored beginning on our regularly scheduled opening date of May 2nd.
