September 30th is National Public Lands Day and the US Army Corps of Engineers at Saylorville Lake is hosting a cleanup project beginning at 11AM, ending at 3PM.  Join more than 175,000 volunteers around the nation by spending the day outdoors ensuring our public lands continue to be beautiful places for all to enjoy.  The annual event, hosted by NEEF (National Environmental Education Foundation) and sponsored by Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. is the nation’s largest, single-day volunteer effort for public lands.

Participants who would like to help clean up the environment around Saylorville Lake can sign up at the Saylorville Lake Visitor Center.  Please wear long pants, long sleeves, and closed toed shoes.  Trash bags and gloves will be provided.  Volunteers or groups who work for a total of 3 hours will receive a camping pass for one free night at a Corps of Engineers managed campground at Saylorville Lake.
