OTTAWA, Illinois. - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, will reopen the Illinois Waterway Visitor Center located at Starved Rock Lock and Dam in Ottawa, Illinois, on Friday, October 12.
The Visitor Center was temporarily closed October 1 as the result of budget constraints.
The facility will now be open each weekend, Friday through Monday, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and may be opened for pre-arranged groups seven days a week with a reservation. Group organizers can call 815-667-4054 to schedule a visit.
