Coralville Lake to Host Earth Day Celebration

IOWA CITY, Iowa – Join the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Coralville Lake on Sunday, April 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to celebrate Earth Day with a tree planting activity to help beautify the area by the dam. Volunteers of all ages are welcome and should meet at the Coralville Lake Visitor Center to gather instructions for the event. Participants are welcome to come and go anytime throughout the event.

Beginning at 1 p.m. Park Rangers will lead a hike on the Woodpecker Trail. Participants should meet at the Trailhead in Linder Point Park to explore spring plants and animal activities along the trail.
