Public Invited to Corps of Engineers open house

Rock Island, Ill. -- (Aug. 29, 2011) The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Shell Rock River Watershed District invite the public to attend an open house for the Freeborn County Aquatic Ecosystem Restoration Feasibility Study from 6 – 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, August 30, at the Albert Lea High School Auditorium, 2000 Tiger Lane Albert Lea, Minn.

The purpose of the open house is to provide details about the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Feasibility Study process and answer questions related to the study initiative.  Corps of Engineers personnel will be available to answer questions and listen to comments about the feasibility study process and problems and opportunities related to the study.

Everyone interested in the study is invited to participate in the public meeting which will include an open house from 6 – 6:30 p.m.; a presentation from 6:30 – 7 p.m.; a question and answer period from 7 – 8 p.m.; followed by an open house from 8 – 8:30 p.m.  A clerk stenographer will be present to record the question and answer period.
