Coralville Lake Seeks Park Attendant & Custodian Contractors

IOWA CITY, Iowa – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is seeking individuals interested in Park Attendant and Custodian positions at Coralville Lake. These are contracted positions with work being performed from April through October for the 2015 and 2016 recreation seasons. There are four contracts available: one Park Attendant/Custodian Contract for the Sandy Beach Campground and Recreation Area, two Custodian Contracts at the Dam Complex Recreation Areas and one Park Attendant Contract at Sugar Bottom Campground.

Services performed by Park Attendant contractors include greeting, registering and assisting campers, collecting fees and operating the campground entrance fee booth. Services performed by Custodian contractors include cleaning campground facilities such as shower buildings, fish cleaning stations, picnic shelters and fire rings and collecting and disposing of garbage.

A FREE full hookup campsite including water, sewer and 50 amp electrical service is provided for the Park Attendant and Custodian contractors selected. Contractors must provide their own self contained camping unit and are required to reside in the campground on days they are scheduled to work.
