The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has established three permit only hunting areas within Coralville Lake. These areas are limited to bow-hunting, trapping, and waterfowl hunting. These areas are delineated as Zone 1 (Dam Complex), Zone 2 (Sugar Bottom), and Zone 3 (Sandy Beach) and are shown in blue on the maps to the right. Note that a portion of Zone 2 will be limited to wheelchair-bound users only and applicants will be chosen on a random basis. Hunters that wish to receive a permit must submit a separate application for each zone they wish to be considered for. Applications can be submitted from Sept. 1 through Sept. 30 to the following address.
